In cell biology, what does the word queue describe?

In biology, when we're talking about queues, we would be most likely talking about the long arm of a chromosone - this is the meaning that has been since a long time assigned to the word queue. 

This word, however, also has obvious different meanings in different fields which aren't related to chromosones.
