First, make a coordinate plane.
-2,4 is the given coordinate. To find this coordinate, look at the X axis, first. Find -2. Then go up on your -2 line, and find 4, You'll be at  the coordinate, -2,4.
Now, 6 units down from coordinate -2,4,is, -2,-2
all you have to do, is move your finger down 6 lines. You will be at the coordinate, -2,-2. 
-2,-2 is the answer.
