Eliza is writing an essay describing a family vacation in a cottage in Maine. In her essay describing her experiences during her family vacation to a cottage in Maine, Eliza is using spatial organization.  When a writer uses the spatial organization method in a descriptive essay, he or she is focusing her description entirely upon a description of the location.  She is not focusing on what is the least or most important aspects of the place she is describing, not is she describing events in the chronological order in which they occurred.
