why is haiku unlike other forms of poetry

It is because every style of poetry is different in its own way. Or maybe the rules of a haiku is just different instead.

Haiku is different because it only has three lines:

First Line: 5 syllables
Second Line: 7 syllables
Third Line: 5 syllables
