The first strategy for changing behavior is to define problems in behavioral terms. This is called the Behavioral strategy. Sometimes just defining the problems in behavioral terms is all that is necessary. Tactics of the behavioral strategy include defining the behavior, direct observation, checking reliability and social validity of the observations, single-subject experiment to test the treatment, and lastly visual analysis of the data.
