A stray dog ate 30 muffins. That was 3/4 of all of them. How many did you start with?

For this equation the dog ate 3/4 of the 30 muffins. You would have started with 40 since the dog ate 3/4. So, the dog ate 3/4 muffins, and you would have 10 remaining.
