The mirrors of reflecting telescopes are parabolas.
The microwave "dish" antennas on cell towers are parabolas. So are the little dishes on garage roofs and the corners of houses, receiving satellite TV all over the country.
The shell behind the light bulb in every car headlight is a parabola.
