The Mapola marathon is held in Madrid, Spain in April since 1978.
This race begins in Paseo de Recoletos and heads North. Runners pass Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace of Madrid and then the Parque del Oeste. It might be a difficult marathon because of its altitude which is 2,300 feet.
