area of circles= pi×radius^2
7÷2=3.5 (radius)

2×( pi×3.5^2)=76.969 inches^2 (I multiplied it by 2 because there are 2 circles)

The circumference in this example is actually the width of the rectangle created by the cylinder. To work it out you do:

pi× diametre diametre =7

pi×7= 21.99 inches^2

to get surface area you add both up...

76.969+21.99= 98.959 inches^2

you can round that to 98.96 inches^2
