2√54+5√24 = 16√6

factor 54 into:
2√(2*3^3)
pull out a 3^2 so:

2*3 = √(2*3) = 6√6

factor 24 down to:
5√(2^3 *3) which is the same as:
5* 2√(2) * √3 which is the same as:
5* 2√2*3 = 5*2√6

So we are left with 6*√6 + 5*2√6 :

6√6 + 10√6 =

16√6
