I think a word is missing here:  'Which { ? } represents where f(x) = g(x)?

If the graph of f(x) intersects the graph of g(x), the coordinates of the point of intersection constitute the "solution" of f(x) = g(x).

If you were to share functions f(x) and g(x), you'd likely be able to determine the point of intersection, either algebraically or graphically.
