the answer to this question is  Louis de st. Denis.
 Louis de st. Denis. was a french soldier that was really known because of his explorations of the lousiana and spanish texas regions.
Not only that, he is also despised by the spanish government due to his ability in creating deals that would protect the interest of French empire at the expense of the spanish.
