What is the original meaning of karma, and how might one reflect a concern for karma?

Karma in definition is the idea that you get what you give in relation towards how you treat other people, places and things. Karma is a direct reflection of yourself as it is said Karma always back to a person. This means if you do something good then something good will happen to you and if you do something bad then something bad will happen to you.
