The formula for potential elastic energy E of spring is given by equation
E = ½ kx2
Where x is the extension of the spring. What are the base unit of k?

E = 1/2 kx^2
Make k the subject of formula.
Find the base units of E and x.
Replace back in the equation and find the base units of k.
