The answer is right.
If you enter the parabola onto a graphing calculator (I'd recommend desmos btw) you can see that the parabola opens to the right.
As to how to find this yourself without the use of a graphing calculator, I'm afraid I can't help you, but I figured I'd give you the answer anyway.
