The answer is false.

Exactly 1 tail would mean the probability is 1/2.

When tossing 2 coins the probability of getting one tail is:

P(HT)+P(TH)

P(HT)=(1/2)^2=1/4 and P(TH)=(1/2)^2=1/4

P(HT or TH)=1/4+1/4=2/4=1/2
