Explain why you will not become sick if you eat sodium chloride, even though chlorine is poisonous.

You will not get sick, unless you eat a certain amount of it. You can eat it and be fine but eating a lot of it isn't good for you!

Atmospheric chlorine is N2 while the chloride in sodium chloride is Cl-.
