(f+g)(x)=0 means
f(x)+g(x)=0

x²-2+6x+4=0
x²+6x+2=0
using math and quadratic formula
x=-3+√7 or -3-√7

Combine f(x) and g(x) to make x^2 -2 +6x +4=0. Simplify to solve. You are actually going to have to use the quadratic formula because once you simplify, you can't factor evenly. Let me know if you need the quadratic formula.
