The area of a circle is π (Pi) times the Radius squared, which is written:
A = π × r2

Or, when you know the Diameter:

A = (π/4) × D2

Or, when you know the Circumference:

A = C2 / 4π

Answer:

Area of a circle = Aπr²

*You multiply the area by pi and then by the square of the radius.

**If you are given the diameter instead of the area then just divide it by 2 and substitute it in the expression.

***If you are given the circumference then: A = C²/ 4π
