Essay structure

  • Introduction: Introduce how knowing the history of Rome is important to understand the advancement of society since Rome was one of the main cradles of civilization.

  • Body: Write two paragraphs. In the first paragraph, you will show which were the main successes of the Roman Empire and which were the points where this period was less successful than the Roman Republic. The second paragraph does the same thing but shows the successes and defeats of the Roman Republic.

  • Conclusion: Determine which of the two periods can be considered the best and most successful and use trial points to tie this together.

Many people believe that the Roman Empire is more successful than the Roman Republic because of its more honest political structuring. This is because the Roman republic had a very corrupt political body that promoted strong social inequalities and these elements were excluded during the Roman Empire.

With a less corrupt and elitist political body, the Roman Empire managed to establish a more egalitarian, just, and happy society, which makes many historians consider the Roman Empire the most successful.
