Nat Turner was an enslaved african american who led a rebellion of slaves and free blacks in Southampton County, Virginia on august 21

Nat Turner was an African American slave who led one of America's largest slave uprisings. He struck fear throughout the white South and prompted some to call an end to the institution of slavery because many were so scared of him. This event was called Nat's Rebellion.
