4(x + 3) = 3x + 17

Simplify :)

4x + 12 = 3x + 17

Subtract 3x from both sides, as well as subtracting 12 from both sides.

4x - 3x = 17 - 12

Simplify.

x = 5

If you only wanted it simplified, it'd be : 4x + 12 = 3x + 17

~Hope I helped!~
