A linear equation can be graphed by the use of the slope and the y-intercept of the equation. The slope is the m value and y-intercept is the b value for the slope-intercept. If the equation is not in this form you can manipulate and make into this form. ANother way to graph is to substitute values for x and obtain the corresponding value of y or vice versa.
