yes because 8 is bigger than 3.

yes because when u add 8+3 u get 11 and anything larger than 9 u have to regroup and put the 10's place on top of the 1st number and the 1's place under the sum line then u add the other 2 numbers to get 43+28=71. Hope that helps u
