13th Amendment : Abolished slavery. 14th Amendment : granted citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the United States—including former enslaved people and guaranteed all citizens “equal protection of the laws.” These 2 amendments affect me in everyday life because I am not a slave and I am/will be a united citizen.
