Each paper clip is 3/4 of an inch long and costs $.02. Exactly enough paper clips are laid end to end to have a total length of 36 inches. What is the total cost of these paper clips?

So,
3/4=0.75
36/0.75=48
You need 48 paperclips to make it end to end.
The cost is:
48 x 0.02=0.96
The total cost is $0.96
