we know that

The Division Property of Equality states that if you divide both sides of an equation by the same number, both sides of the equation will remain equal

so

in this problem we have

[tex]5x=2y[/tex]

Solve for x

Using the Division Property of Equality, Divide by [tex]5[/tex] both sides

[tex]5x/5=2y/5[/tex]

[tex]x=\frac{2}{5} y[/tex]

therefore

the answer is the option

c. 2y/5 ( 2y over 5 )
