first, you convert 33 1/3 % into decimals which is 0.33333333333 then you multiply 29.99 by the decimal to get the amount you save which is then subtracted from the initial amount.
29.99 x 0.33 1/3 = 9.99667
29.99 - 9.99667 = 19.99
