A curve has equation y = 2xy+ 5 and a line has equation 2x + 5y = 1.
The curve and the line intersect at the points A and B. Find the coordinates of the midpoint
of the line AB​

y = 2xy+ 5 = (1 - 5y)*y + 5 = y - 5y² + 5

y-y = y - 5y² + 5 - y = - 5y² + 5

0 = - 5y² + 5

5y² = 5

y² = 1

y = 1 or y = -1

if y = 1       x = 1/2 (1 - 5) = -2   .... point A (-2 , 1)

if y = -1      x = 1/2 (1 + 5) = 3   ..... point B (3 , -1)

mid point of AB (x' , y') :  x' = 1/2 (x₁ + x₂) = 1/2 (-2 + 3) = 1/2

                                        y' =  1/2 (y₁ + y₂) = 1/2 (-1 + 1) = 0
