An icecream cone has a diameter across the top of 6cm and sloping side of 13cm. How deep is the cone?

You can for a right triangle using the depth of the cone, the radius of the top, and the side. So you can do Pythagoras theorem to solve.

6^2 + d^2 = 13^2

36 + d^2 = 169

d^2 = 133

d = sqrt(133)
