Central and South America produced three highly advanced native civilizations. The Mayans, Aztecs and Incas all produced advanced architecture and all three had an advanced (for the time) understanding of mathematics, astronomy, medicine and other sciences.
In North America however, the natives seem to have been quite far behind in almost all technologies.
