Could anyone explain how to size of an image works in a pinhole camera?

An image of an object can be used to determine the object's size or the distance to the object. The ability of the human eye's lens to focus an image on the retina is aided by the eye's pupil (the eye's aperture), which acts as a pinhole camera.
