Nubia is a region along the Nile river which is encompassing area between Aswan in southern Egypt and Khartoum in central Sudan. This happened to be the seat of one of the earliest civilizations of ancient Africa which several empires to show for it. Prominent among the empire is the Kingdom of Kush which conquered and ruled Egypt for several decades.
