So to get the midpoint we need to get the x's add them and divide by 2 and do the same for y. So we have -1 and 7, add them and we get 6/2 = 3. The x's midpoint is 3. Now we need to do for y.  2+3 = 5. 5/2 is y. So answer is

(3, 5/2)
