Why would Hitler sign a non aggression pact with Joseph Stalin even though he was extremely against communism?

He wanted to avoid a large enemy in order to further pursue his movement.

Explanation:

If Hitler can make peace with one of the largest armies in all the world and not have it interfere with his armies, then why wouldn't he? They didnt agree to be friends. Hitler later betrayed Stalin anyways, so he had mostly likely planned it for when his armies took more land and had more production going.
