To find the slope(m), use the slope formula:

[tex]m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]       And plug in the two points

(3, -6) = (x₁, y₁)

(11, 0) = (x₂, y₂)

[tex]m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]

[tex]m=\frac{0-(-6)}{11-3}[/tex]  (two negative signs cancel each other out and become positive)

[tex]m=\frac{0+6}{11-3}[/tex]

[tex]m=\frac{6}{8}[/tex]     Simplify the fraction

[tex]m=\frac{3}{4}[/tex]
