speed = wavelength × frequency
speed = 10/1000 × 5.0
speed = 0.001 × 5.0
speed = 0.005m/s

Answer:

Speed of the wave, v = 0.05 m/s

Explanation:

It is given that,

Wavelength of the wave, [tex]\lambda=10\ mm=0.01\ m[/tex]

Frequency of the wave, [tex]\nu=5\ Hz[/tex]

The speed of the wave is given by the product of frequency and the wavelength i.e.

[tex]v=\nu\times \lambda[/tex]

[tex]v=5\times 0.01[/tex]

[tex]v=0.05\ m/s[/tex]

Hence, the speed of the wave is 0.05 m/s
