Hi,

Start out with 7x+5=2x-35

then Subtract 5 from both sides

7x+5-5=2x-35-5

simplify

7x=2x-40

subtract 2x from both sides

7x-2x=2x-40-2x

simplify

5x=-40

divide both sides by 5

5x/5 = -40/5

simplify

x=-8

Have a great day and be sure to mark me brainliest if I helped! :)
