Amendment Thirteenth to the Constitution of the United States eliminated slavery and spontaneous servitude, besides as penalty for a felony. This Amendment is one of the most significant Amendments of the times. With the enactment of this amendment slavery and servitude in any form was abolished and it was this amendment that gave more focus on the protection of the victims of human trafficking.
