First, find the slope of the line contains the points (1,-6) and (-2,6) using slope formula
m = [tex] \dfrac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}[/tex]

plug in the numbers
m = [tex] \dfrac{6-(-6)}{-2-1}[/tex]
m = [tex] \dfrac{6+6}{-3}[/tex]
m = [tex]\dfrac{12}{-3}[/tex]
m = -4

Second, determine the slope of perpendicular line
The slope of the perpendicular line is the opposite and reciprocal from the other line. Thus, the slope is [tex] \dfrac{1}{4} [/tex]
