By using the binding energy versus nucleon number, The maximum binding energy per nucleon occurs at around mass number A = 50, which corresponds to the most stable nuclei. In addition, nuclei with a small mass number have a small binding energy per nucleon. However, if the mass number increases, the binding energy per nucleon increases too.
